Shine & Show funds activities for WellFully youth

Every kid says it... "I don’t have anything to do!" – and now with the help of WellFully’s annual 4x4 Shine & Show, the WellFully kids will have plenty to do.

Now in its fourth year, the 4x4 Shine & Show will be held Saturday, May 4th in the parking lots between Love INC and 605 Auto Plaza. Through entry fees, sponsorships and the youth car wash, the event is a fundraising effort to raise money that will all go to provide fun and educational activities for the kids of WellFully Premier Adolescent Care Center.

Even though we are in an area with so many recreational activities to offer, it is a financial challenge to provide activities for over three hundred 11-17 year old boys and girls that pass through WellFully’s doors each year. So any money raised by the Shine & Show and other events each year will go toward covering admission fees, transportation costs and snacks/meals for when the WellFully kids (and accompanying staff) hit the road for a little adventure and learning experience.

WellFully Program Manager, Yvonne Espinoza elaborated that, “we try to give the kids of WellFully a well-rounded experience through educational and fun activities and field trips. Past activities have included trips to local museums, parks, and special event. Some fan favorites are Reptile Gardens, Bear Country, and the hikes around the Black Hills.

While the time is nearly over for major sponsorship levels of this year’s Shine and Show, we will continue accept Patron Sponsor contributions of $100. To put this in perspective, one patron sponsorship will pay the admission for four youth to visit Bear Country, or three carloads of youth and staff chaperones to visit Mount Rushmore.

So please consider a contribution that can give these kids to get out and have an adventure.
